A Word from Your POWE Member of the Year 2008/2009 Denise Franklin
Wow another decade gone and a new decade beginning. 2009 was one of the best years I've had in a very long time both with my business growth and my personal growth. As I stepped up to the plate many times to be top of mind, I realized that the members of POWE were intrigued at my existence and what I had accomplished. Most of the members have seen me grow from a shy, timid ‘I'll just sit at the table and listen’ type person to someone who rather enjoys getting up in front of people. Although the thought of networking the POWE way was a tad bit intimidating to say the least, I realized this past year that getting up there and being top of mind was where it was at. And, who would have ever thought that I would be a contributing author in a book 'The Power of Women United'. A line from a testimonial I received from some one who read my chapter. ‘The pieces you put in your chapter that your girls wrote spoke volumes about the great woman that you have become….’ And in my husband’s words, the changes in me this year have been ‘earth shattering’. I would like to thank all those who helped me, supported me, encouraged me and were a part of my personal growth. Without you…..well we won’t even go there.
Everything is possible to those who believe. Believe in what…Believe in YOURSELF.

Big Lesson for Today!
There is something so easy about owning your own mistakes. Accepting that you are human and yes, not perfect! Today is an awesome day to let go of all the hard work it is to maintain perfection and just accept the beauty of who you are.
